Nichia公司從1968年開始申請專利,注重專利佈局至今約50餘年。本研究選擇以USPC、ECLA、WIPS與Delphion等資料庫分析Nichia公司全球專利。結果顯示Nichia公司在全球有4561筆專利,且大多佈局於日本。Nichia的LED專利有兩大專利家族,A家族是以氮化物結晶為基礎,加上壓力、溫度與氨溶液等方法產生單晶或多晶化合物的技術。C家族是以氮化物結結構保護,透過排列、螢光粉濃度、材質與光波長控制光混合的技術。引證分析發現Nichia公司具有技術獨立性強、研發能力高與技術擴散高的特性。優先權分析發現Nichia公司重點集中於日本,其中以波蘭地區策略最為特殊,有特定的合作對象。且開始與競爭對手合作,形成不同於以往的聯盟策略。
Nichia Corporation resumed patent application in 1968 and continued to do so ever since. This study used USPC, ECLA, WIPS and Delphoin database to analyze Nichia patents. Results showed Nichia Corporation had 4561 patents and most of patents applied predominately in Japan.. Family A is based on nitride crystal to produce mono-crystal and bulk crystal through methods of pressure, temperature and ammonia solution. Family C is based on nitride structure, through arrangement, phosphor concentration, material and wavelength to control hybrid light. Through citation analysis, it showed Nichia had high independent R & D capability and extension of research results. Through priority analysis, we found Nichia focused mainly on Japan. But patent strategy is very peculiar in in Poland, Nichia started to cooperate with somebody, so do competitors.
