This case study implemented qualitative research method, including interviews, observations and literature reviews, to probe the developmental process and influence factors of music ability as well as the learning aspect and needs of a student with savant syndrome. In this study, the researcher found that the subject with visual impairment and intellectual disabilities, although encountered a lot of frustrations and difficulties through out the learning process, he showed interests and sensitivities to music through his early life. With his own gift, plus lots of assistance from his surrounding, including parent's support, teacher's devotion and social resources, the subject cultivated music talent eventually. According to the finding, the researcher discussed what school, family and society could do for the savant syndrome student.
