多媒體教學應用於國中補校學生英語學習之研究

A Study of Employing Multimedia Instruction on Students’English Learning Attitude and Efficiency in the Junior High Supplementary School

摘要

本研究旨在探討多媒體英語實驗教材，應用在國中補校英語科的教學上，對成人學生學習態度與成效的影響。本研究採行動研究法，以民生國中補校一年級共15名成人學生為研究對象。在教學實驗中，兼採質與量的方法，並且輔以錄影內容回顧行動研究歷程，最後進行資料分析與討論。本研究結果可歸納下列六項結論，摘述如下：
一、以國中補校成人學生的需求及多媒體認知學習理論為原則，編製出符合成人學生學習特性與能力的課程內容
二、實施多媒體英語實驗教材時，除需考量補校成人學生的學習需求、能力外與教材內容的播放與整體呈現效果
三、在多媒體英語實驗教材教學後，成人學生在英語學習態度有顯著提升
四、在多媒體英語實驗教材教學後，成人學生在英語學習成就測驗有顯著進步
五、在多媒體英語實驗教材教學後，成人學生的口說能力有顯著的進步
六、多媒體英語實驗教材的教學實施過程，發現學習者的心態才是影響學習成效的最重要關鍵。
最後依據研究結論，提出三點建議：第一，政府應鼓勵普通大學和師範院校，培養成人英語教師自編英語多媒體教材的能力；第二，學校行政單位應鼓勵成人英語教師，設計符合補校英語教學的多媒體教材；第三，成人教師應多汲取成人教育的教學理論與原則。對未來研究提出二點建議：第一，可再將其他方面納入生活化多媒體英語實驗教材的主題；第二，可將多媒體實驗教材進行準實驗研究，透過實驗組與控制組比較，更能清楚了解多媒體教學與一般教學的差別。

The purposes of this study are to explore how the usage of multimedia teaching materials in English instruction affects the learning attitude and efficiency of junior high supplementary school students. This study adopts the action research and the participants were 15 first-year students of Min-sheng junior high supplementary school. Researcher implements the experimental teaching into class. The data collection consists of qualitative and quantitative data and assists with video to reflect the action research. There are six major findings:
1.Design the experimental multimedia English teaching materials based on the needs , characteristics and abilities of junior high supplementary students.
2.Take junior high supplementary students’learing needs, abilities and the broadcast of experimental multimedia English teaching materials into account.
3.After the experimental teaching, learning attitude of junior high supplementary school students was promoted.
4.After the experimental teaching, learning efficiency of junior high supplementary school students was promoted.
5.After the experimental teaching, the English oral speaking abilities of junior high supplementary school students are promoted.
6.The attitude of learners is the key factor which influnences the English learing efficiency.
According to the findings of this study, the researcher offers some suggestions:
1.The government should encourage every normal college and teacher’s school to nuture adult teachers designing teaching materials.
2.The administrative unit of junior high supplementary school should encourage teachers to design experimental multimedia English teaching materials.
3.Teachers of junior high supplementary school should learn adult teaching theories and adult teaching principles.
The suggestions for future studies:
1.Future researchers can expand subjects to other living aspects.
2.Future researchers can do quasi-experimental research to find out the differences between the experimental group and control group.
