本文利用Färe, Grosskopf, and Roos(1995)所建構並修正之包含服務品質的Malmquist生產力指數,分析評估1992年至2002年臺灣地區29家國際觀光旅館生產力變動的情形。實證結果顯示,臺灣地區國際觀光旅館產業生產力呈現退步的情形,其主要源自於效率以及服務品質的退步。Tobit迴歸分析發現,位於臺北地區、連鎖經營型態以及個別旅客住宿比例較高的國際觀光旅館,對其生產力、效率、技術以及品質變動會有顯著正面的影響。
This study employed quality-incorporated Malmquist productivity index to evaluate productivity changes of 29 international tourist hotels in Taiwan. The empirical results revealed that the productivity of international tourist hotels declined, which was mainly due to deterioration in efficiency and service quality. Applying Tobit regression analysis, we find location; management style and source of customers have a significant influence on changes in efficiency, productivity, technology and service quality.
