The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship of teachers’ work values and organizational commitment in elementary schools. This study adopted a questionnaire survey, and the “teachers’ work values and organizational commitment inventory” was developed as an instrument. The samples were teachers from public elementary schools in Taoyuan County. The return rate was 97.1％ and valid samples were 540. The data were analyzed by statistical analysis of t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, canonical correlation, and stepwise regression analysis. The results are listed as follows.
1. The elementary school teachers’ work values and organizational commitment were above the average rank. 
2. Teachers with different background variables such as gender, age, length of service, school area, and school size have significantly different work values.
3. Teachers with different background variables such as gender, age, length of service, work position, and school area have significantly different organizational commitment.
4. There was significantly positive correlation between teachers’ work values and organizational commitment.
5. Teachers’ work values can predict organizational commitment, and “achievement prestige” was the best predicator.
Based on the results of the study, some suggestions were proposed for educational administrators, school administrators, and teachers.
