Taiwan's museums had better have an alternative historical thought regarding the Japanese colonial period to transcend the entanglement of the nationalism, political ideology, and the stereotype of colonialism. This paper suggests that the museums focus on people's lives and social operations with an even attitude for the colonial period and the post-WWII history. This paper will review the colonial industrial economy of Taiwan with the issues of the Project of Modernity, such as the capitalization, the rationality of communication, the management with mathematical calculation, the social division, the time keeping, the body discipline, and the risk management. Besides, this paper will evenly review the Taiwanese industrial economy after the WWII with some post-colonialism phenomena, such as the nee-imperialism of the United States of America 10 Taiwan, the domination or the KMT regime to the industrial economy of Taiwan, the post-colonial domination of the Hans regime 10 the aborigines, the neo-colony by the big industries, and the post-colonialism of the cultural industries. Under the domination of the powers, the subjectivity of the Taiwanese people is weak.
