一般認為,日語「縮約形」是JFL(Japanese as a Foreign Language)在口語運用上感到較困難的項目之一。本研究透過問卷分析,探討台灣中高級日語學習者在學習縮約形時,抱持著怎樣的使用意識?「想使用」群和「不想使用」群又與縮約形的使用意識有著怎樣的關係?研究成果顯示,學習者對縮約形具有一定程度的知識,但存在著「我覺得使用縮約形會對人不禮貌」、「我覺得常常會擔心自己的縮約形用錯」等等阻礙縮約形使用的原因。「不想使用」群的學習者特別是在「面對縮約形的態度」方面呈現較被動的使用意識。此外,大部分的學習者認為縮約形的使用為學習帶來益處,且希望縮約形的學習越早越好,期待教科書或教師能多教點縮約形。
It is believed that the contracted forms are difficult items on the oral use for Japanese learners. This study investigated the Japanese learners' awareness of contracted forms in Taiwan. And reduce the differences between the "want to use" group and "do not want to use" group. The result shows, learners have a certain degree of knowledge about contracted forms; 「Give a rude impression」「Often afraid of making mistakes」were the main reason that inhibits the use. The "do not want to use" group showed passive attitude of using contracted forms. Moreover, learners thought that they will be able to reap the benefits through contracted forms. They hope to learn early, and teach more in textbooks and teachers.
