The maxillary permanent canine is second only to the mandibular third molar in its frequency of impaction with a prevalence of about 1.5% 1. This article presents two cases with impacted maxillary canines. Case 1: 9-year-old boy with two impacted maxillary canines. In order to retraction the impacted maxillary canines, orthodontic treatment was followed after surgical exposure of upper permanent canine. After 2 years, both canines moved into proper position and remain vital, responding normally to percussion and sensitivity test clinically. Both teeth showed continuous root formation and have normal periodontal health. Case 2: 9-year-old girl with one impacted maxillary canine. After 10 months of primary maxillary canine extraction, the impacted canines moved into proper position. The clinical manifestations and common treatment options of impacted maxillary canines were also addressed.
