The current study aims at exploring the effects of learning environment, psychological state, and creative personality on the creative thinking of media design students. The structural model shows that creative personality greatly influences students' creative thinking. In addition, generative cognition significantly predicts fluency; social climate significantly predicts flexibility; generative cognition and inspiration through action significantly predict elaboration; inspiration through action, organizational measure, and social climate significantly predict resistance to premature closure; inspiration through action significantly predicts abstractness of ideas; and inspiration through action and intrinsic motivation significantly predict sensitivity, whereas intrinsic motivation has a negative effect. Finally, originality is found to only be predicted by creative personality.
