INSPECTION REPORT CODING FOR SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION STRUCTURE MAINTENANCE

摘要

Maintenance is the most crucial part of the life cycle of a soil and water conservation facility. Numerous soil and water conservation facilities in Taiwan are located in remote areas, and the inspection methods applied by management departments are inconsistent because checkboxes and textual descriptions are used; thus, the assessment results cannot be effectively presented and information exchange cannot be facilitated. For safety maintenance management, this study developed a set of codes applicable for inspecting the soil and water conservation facilities in Taiwan. A coding structure required for recording the inspection results was first established, and visual inspection was then performed to assess the facilities. Through calculation of the assessment results, the condition index and CI-level of the facilities were obtained; the structural damage and extent of damage extent were determined to establish suitable maintenance methods. Finally, a decoding method was included in a three-dimensional stimulation graphics model to present and enhance the readability and visualization of the inspection reports, and to complete a set of inspection report systems by establishing an inspection coding system for elevating the overall integrity of the inspection procedures. Therefore, this study can assist in future designs of building information modeling.
