The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of the challenge ropes courses, including: adventure education life-effectiveness and group cohesion. The scales of adventure education life-effectiveness and group cohesion were used to evaluate the course effects for 57 undergraduate students. The scores of pre-test and post-test as well as follow-up test after two month were compared. Also, the effect size was taken to measure how much the change was at different time points. According to the results, the challenge ropes courses could positively promote participants' adventure education life-effectiveness and group cohesion. In the end, suggestions for the following research and future courses design were made.
