「不要叫我數位文盲!」-老人上網經驗之優勢觀點分析

Do Not Call Me Digital Illiterate! : Analyzing Elderly People's Successful Internet Experience Through Strengths Perspectives

摘要


本文從優勢觀點分析成功上網的老人,發掘其成功上網的優勢能力。本文採用深度訪談以及部落格文本分析方式,針對22位具成功上網經驗的老人進行資料蒐集及分析。研究發現長者在學習過程遇到如既有文獻提到的各種阻礙,但他們仍能運用個人及環境的優勢,對抗阻礙,並除去加諸在他們身上數位文盲的汙名。最後結論如下:(一)社區資源是學習上網的啟蒙地;(二)家人支持是持續上網的原動力;(三)家庭凝聚是長者上網的動機之一;(四)網路寫作具有療癒效果;(五)網路行銷具有工作附加價值。以及提出如下建議:(一)持續深耕社區老人的上網活動,縮短年齡數位落差;(二)推動代間數位文化反哺活動,增進家人支持;(三)進行老人上網安全之評估研究,以降低可能的風險。

The purpose of this paper was to analyze the strengths of learning Internet process of seniors who have successful internet experience. For this objective, in-depth interviews and blog website document analyses were employed. The results showed that the seniors encountered the same difficulties mentioned in the literature when learning how to surf the internet, but they still continued to use their abilities and strengths to deal with the obstacles. After they overcame the problem encountered, they enjoyed the convenience of using the internet. The conclusions were as follows: 1. they made good use of the community resources to learn the basic computer skills; 2. they continued surfing by family support; 3. they obtained the driving force of surfing by family togetherness; 4.although living in the adverse circumstances, they could use internet to cure themselves; 5. They could work in value-added by internet marketing. Finally, some suggestions were mentioned: 1.we should continue to cultivate the online activities of the community of the elderly, shorten the age of the digital divide; 2. We should promote intergenerational digital culture feedback activities to enhance family support; 3. if the population of the elderly people who surf the internet increases in the future, the internet will possibly bring for the elders the risk, which may be worth following in the future research.
