Comparison of On-Base Plus Slugging of Batting Order in Each Chinese Professional Baseball Team

摘要

本研究目的主要是探討中華職業棒球聯盟，La New熊隊、統一獅隊、興農牛隊及兄弟象隊四支隊伍2006-2008年例行賽，及四隊各打擊順序在攻擊指數的差異情形，期盼能作為臺灣職業球團訓練和比賽參考之依據。本研究以2006-2008年中華職業棒球聯盟，La New熊隊、統一獅隊、興農牛隊及兄弟象隊四支隊伍為對象，蒐集三年例行賽攻擊紀錄後，以SPSS 12.0 for Windows 統計套裝軟體進行描述性統計分析，以求得各棒次攻擊指數之數據，再以獨立樣本單因子變異數分析（one-way ANOVA）四隊各棒次攻擊指數之差異。本研究結果：四隊各棒次攻擊指數之差異方面，四隊各棒次攻擊指數差異僅第八棒達顯著差異，其餘棒次皆無顯著差異。且經事後比較發現，四隊中統一與興農的第八棒有顯著差異，其他各隊的第八棒未達統計上的顯著性，且統一在第八棒攻擊指數明顯優於興農。本研究結論：由本研究可知，臺灣職業棒球攻擊型態並非中心棒次為球隊致勝棒次，其原因可推論為投手面臨危機時，對中心棒次過於閃躲或面對後段棒次時過於大意，反倒遭不起眼的第八棒擊出致勝一擊。

Purpose: This research explores the differences of the on-base plus slugging of each batting order in the regular seasons from 2006 to 2008 between the four teams in CPBL (Chinese Professional Baseball League), the La New Bears, the Uni-President Lions, the Sinon Bulls, and the Brother Elephants. I hope the diversities can be reference materials for professional club training and games. Method: The main objects are the La New Bears, the Uni-President Lions, the Sinon Bulls, and the Brother Elephants in the CPBL from 2006 to 2008. After collecting the offense records in the regular seasons among the three years, I use SPSS 12.0 for Windows to give an analysis of descriptive statistics in order to get the data of on-base plus slugging of each batting order. Then, one-way ANOVA is used to analyze the differences. Results: From the differences of the on-base plus slugging of each batting order in the four teams, only the eighth batter gets the obvious discrepancy in the on-base plus slugging of each batting order in the four teams while the others don't. Moreover, after comparing statistics, among the four teams, the eighth batters in the Uni-President Lions and the Sinon Bulls show clear variations while those in other teams don't. And, the on-base plus slugging of the eighth batter of Uni-President Lions is evidently better than that of the Sinon Bulls'. Conclusion: Through the research, we can know that for the offense type of CPBL in Taiwan, the central batters are not really the winning ones. When the pitchers face crises, they evade the central batters or neglect the latter ones so much. Instead, the unnoticeable eighth batters get the winning bat.
