大學已不僅僅是年輕人學習的場域,更是提供老人健康知能、技術與觀念,肯定人生經驗與自我價值的機構,此外,透過大學體系高齡教育與老人的互動機會,更成功轉變年輕人負向的「老年」意象,學習如何和長輩相處。本文運用明新科技大學老人服務事業管理系承辦97年教育部與98年竹北市公所高齡教育活動的資料,試圖探討:長者本身「老年」意象及學生志工對於「老年」意象的正向轉變,運用活動當時所留下的回饋檔案爲資料,採用文件分析法分析。其中發現,大學高齡教育提供專業正確的知識,經由多項課程探討生命意義,也讓老人積極面對老年時期,此外,學生志工經由活動改變負面「老年」意象,反而覺得長者和藹可親、好學不倦,發展良好互動模式。
The University provides opportunities for building up the model and interaction between old generations and young generations. My study bases on the elderly education activities of the 2008 (finance from Ministry of Education) and the 2009 (finance from Jhubei County Government), focuses on: the change of elderly images, and the change of student volunteers toward elderly images. The study finds that through the professional knowledge provided by the elderly education at University, old people change their attitude and thoughts concern about ”old people”. Moreover, young people shape ”old people” as ”friendly” and ”study hard”, and develop a good model of interaction.
