語料庫輔助翻譯研究之方法論－中日、日中翻譯的應用

摘要

隨者電腦科技的快速發展，語料庫成為來語言學研究中相當重要的研究工具，其應用的範圍從傳統的語法研究至許多其他範疇，例如文化研究、文體分析、外語學習者的語料庫等等。翻譯研究也在90年代開始應用語料庫的研究方法，開啓了翻譯研究的新觀點。其中主要的潮流可分為兩方面，一為翻譯文體的理論性的探討，一為翻譯實務的應用。本文主要站在方法論的觀點，首先介紹以英語為中心的語料庫的翻譯研究方法，再來透過事例介紹，探討可以提供中文、日文的翻譯研究的手法，以及語料庫的使用存在的限制以及注意事項。

As the technology of computer and information processing develops, corpus has become more and more important methodology to human science. The application of corpus-based studies ranges from linguistics to L2 acquisition, and from stylistics to culture studies. Corpus-based translation studies, started from I990s, mainly focus on practical usage and theoretical aspect. The former deals with questions such as how to exploit corpora as an aid in translation practice or translation education. The latter discusses questions such as what translated texts indicate on the process of translation itself. This paper is aiming at explaining this methodology to translation studies of Chinese and Japanese, and offering some insights of limitations and possibilities that corpus-based studies might bring.
