摘要

雖然冷凍治療為目前臨床上治療倒睫毛較有效的方法，但因其會破壞周圍組織，所以產生併發症的機率較高，相對的雷射光聚焦力強，僅破壞局部組織，所以產生併發症的機率大為降低。本篇以附於裂隙燈之氬氣雷射治療32隻眼瞼，雷射能量設定0.8W，大小50μm，時間0.2秒，第一次治療後21隻眼瞼(66%)未再復發，若加上第二次治療則28隻眼瞼(87%)未復發，其成功率並不低於冷凍治療，但皆未發生眼瞼四陷、結疤、退色等冷凍治療可能發生的併發症。治療失敗的原因第一是雷射光方向未正確指向毛囊，其次是治療深度不夠，未燒及毛囊。

We analyzed the effect of argon laser ablation of trichiasis in 32 eyelids. An argon laser coupled with a slit-lamp biomicroscope was used to burn the trichiatic eyelash and follicle. Laser variables were as follows: 0.8W power, 50 um spot size and 0.2 sec duration. Successful ablation of misdirected cilia was achieved with one treatment in 21 eyelids (66%) and with two treatment in 28 eyelids (87%). There were no complications such as lid scarring, notching or depigmentation that occurred with cryotherapy. Inaccurate direction of hair shaft and inadequate deep burn to hair follicle were the two main recurrent factors. We found treatment of trichiasis with argon laser to be an effective procedure.
