摘要

伍子胥之人物形象最早見於《左傳》，《史記》則亦有其傳。後世許多論著中也常常提到他，文學創作裡更經常以他為主角做為書寫對象。蓋因其一生遭遇迭盪起伏，逢絕境而峰迴路轉，處高位而自縊身亡。特別是「奔吳覆楚」之事，留下千古不同評價。本文擬以《左傳》、《史記》、《吳越春秋》三個不同的書寫面向，綜合性討論伍子胥之人物形象，藉由爬梳原文，釐清與比較其人物形象的改變與轉化。

The earliest existing record of Wu Zixu was seen in ”Zuo Zhuan”. The biography of Wu Zixu can also be found in ”Historical Record”. Wu Zixu experienced a lot of ups and downs in his unique life. Whenever he fell into difficulties, he was always able to turn bad luck into good fortune. However, though held a high position, Wu Zixu ended his life by hanging himself. Especially, his leaving for Wu State and helping Wu State to destroy Chu State received different historic evaluations. In this article, the author tried to discuss the character image of Wu Zixu from different aspects of ”Zuo Zhuan” and ”Historical Records”.
